About the School
The University of Sheffield, Department of Landscape’s research and teaching is world leading and we are dedicated to sharing our knowledge and encouraging the dialogue about innovative landscape designs. We are dedicated to improve the environment and people’s lives by finding new ways to design sustainable, inspirational and beautiful landscapes. We combine pragmatism, innovation and rigour in our approach to designing landscapes that will positively impact the future for people, plants and places.
In our field, we are the UK’s largest academic institution and offering courses lead by internationally renowned experts spanning the fields of arts, social sciences, geography and ecology. Our research is classed as world leading by the REF and impacts, but is not limited to, the areas of:
